For years now, the great players at White Hart Lane have had their own song. Gilzean and then Hoddle shared “Born is the King…”, a reworking of Chicory Tip’s “Son of my father” will always be associated with Perryman, Nice one Cyril is a household ditty and you cannot think about Archibald without hearing the “We’ll take more … “ song… Hell, even Nicola Berti short sojourn with Spurs produced one of the most original terrace chants.

Spurs fans have a long and proud tradition for some great chants but now we need a proper one for Ledley King.

It could be argued that he already has his own song with the “We’ve got Ledley at the back”, and it is without doubt a great song, but over four years on from when it emerged up at Blackburn, its time to give him his own special song, which sets him apart as his own man, and not just a superior replacement for someone who went over to the darkside.

It’s time to reflect Ledley’s new status as the Tottenham captain, England star and one of the best footballers in the league, and now’s your chance to honour him by thinking up an original song.

We would anticipate that the 'winning song' would be any song that is actually adopted. There won't be any prizes, apart from the enormous satisfacton of knowing that YOU were the one who gave Led the song he so richly deserves (and one without the Judas has been's name in it)
